 Post subject: Rebel RR

Old photo of the two standard gauge display engines at what was then the Rebel RR (now Dollywood) in Tennessee. I know the 2-6-0 went to Chatanooga, but is the ex-Southern 2-8-0 still there? (You have to join the Park Trains list to see photo.)

Yes the ex-Southern 2-8-0 is still there.I have asked here on this board several times if any museum has expressed an interest in it.Apparently Dollywood which now owns the engine will not consider letting it go.I once heard that Dollywood planned to use the tender from the 2-8-0 on a restoration to service of the ex-White Pass & Yukon 2-8-2 loco that is now only a parts source.
