Hi:

Could I be so bold as to suggest that you, or the photographer, send this picture to the local police or sheriff's department with the request that the driver be issued a traffic citation?

Jim,

Good suggestion. Next time they may be removed from the crossing in a bag(s).

Where I used to run trolley cars and locomotives, it seemed that at least once a week, somebody would stop on a crossing ahead of me, I'm assuming to get a better look at what's behind that headlight coming at them....

The photographer's email address is in the caption block of the picture. They may not be a regular to RYPN's interchange.

These kinds of photos show up all the time on rail pictures and train orders. You don't know if the train is really moving or has been sitting for an hour and a policeman might even be directing people around the gates. Some of these guys just like to shoot things like that even when it is not a dangerous situation so they have "close calls" to post.
