Post subject:  Millinocket coal chute

In Maine, former Bangor & Aroostook, now operated as the Montreal, Maine & Atlantic. The BAR dieselized early, but left its coal chutes standing.

hello Bob its been years since I have been to that part of maine but the B&A also had one that l ooked the same a Derby, Me. Is that one still up? bb

The BAR coal chutes and towers still stand at Northern Maine Junction and Derby. The NMJ tower still has the mechanical parts in place, as well as rusty cables, etc. .
