Hello all, I'm wondering if anyone knows of diagram of the stanard Heisler Lettering or something else? I'm in need of it to re-letter the Ohio Match Company #4 at the Northwest Railway Museum. Thanks, Dan NP2626@RRmail.com |

Dan, I don't know if there really was a standard lettering for Heislers. Ours still had the original paint when we got it, and I can at least tell you where everything was. The number was on the cab wall, sand dome, and on the sandbox on the back of the tender. The lettering was just spelled out along the side of the tender, and on ours, was boxed in with stripes, as was the cab. This probably doesn't help you at all, but it may. Also, have you tried looking for a picture of the engine in service? There should be one out there somewhere. Thanks, Taylor Sumpter Valley Railway thrush@smt-net.com |

Dan, You may already know about this, but follow the link to a very good site with a lot of photos that show Heislers as built. Thanks, Taylor Heislers thrush@smt-net.com |
