Museum vandals strike again. The Great Plains Transportation Museum, Wichita, Kansas was hit on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004 by one or more vandals. A large number of windows were broken out of various pieces of equipment. The worst hit were the museums two buses one a Flx-Twin Coach had 10 windows including its windshields broken. The other bus one of the first Wichita built Chance buses lost 8 widows including its windshields which may not be able to be replaced due to their design and not being mfg. any longer. The damage will be well over $6,000 in materials alone not counting labor to install the glass. johndeck@cox.net |
