Post subject:  CVSR is looking for a Marketing Director
A nonprofit excursion railroad serving Cuyahoga, Summit and Stark Counties in Ohio, seeks a Director of Marketing, a management position with both creative and supervisory responsibilities. Strong interpersonal, managerial, writing and presentation skills are essential. Candidate should have extensive experience and proven success in a marketing/public relations position with substantial supervisory responsibility. Experience in the travel and tourism industry, a college degree and familiarity with the Northeast Ohio region are preferred. Regional candidates only.

The position reports to the CEO, and works with other members of senior management to develop and implement strategy for the success of the Railroad.

Responsibilities include:
* Plan and implement public relations and media initiatives that create visibility, awareness and positive perceptions across a broad spectrum of external constituencies
* Establish and maintain partnering relationships with regional tourist venues and destinations
* Plan and coordinate placement of all advertising of a variety of railroad offerings
* Create and implement special events on the train, such as holiday excursions, wine tastings and fundraisers
* Supervise the marketing of school field trip programs
* Oversee production of print, video and Web communications
* Assist CEO in fostering productive relationships with civic and local government leaders in the communities served by the Railroad
* Develop and manage program budget
