<P>Greetings!<p>I am in the midst of a research project for my roundhouse project. A while ago, there was talk about creating a database for existing roundhouses. Did this come to fruition? I would like to have some list of existing roundhouses in North American and their current stati. Can anybody help? <P>I'm in charge of public relations at the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum. We are currently rebuilding the Columbia Junction 6 stall roundhouse in Willimantic, Ct. Originally built in 11.1892 and lasted until a fire consumed it sometime 1928. The site sat inactive until 11/1991. At this time members of the Connecticut Eastern Chapter would meet each weekend clearing and cleaning up the numerous debris. In the fall of 1999 the construction began.
