The NJ Museum of Transportation has been offered a donation of three CNJ tank cars (standard gauge). Our primary interest is in acquiring a single car, rather than in all three. We would like to find a home for two of the cars. We are not looking to make any money on these cars, only to find them a good home and perhaps save some money on the costs associated with moving multiple cars.

The cars weigh in at 47,000 lbs empty, have 10,000 gallon tanks (100,000lbs), were built in June of 1923 and are of riveted construction. Each tank is 33' long by 7' diameter. From knuckle to knuckle the cars measure 38' long and are 9'-6" wide to the outside of the catwalks. From top of rail to top of tank is 11'-8" including a 2' man way on the top of the tank. They will be clean.
