<P>Greetings!<p>I am in the midst of a research project for my roundhouse project. A while ago, there was talk about creating a database for existing roundhouses. Did this come to fruition? I would like to have some list of existing roundhouses in North American and their current stati. Can anybody help? <P>I'm in charge of public relations at the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum. We are currently rebuilding the Columbia Junction 6 stall roundhouse in Willimantic, Ct. Originally built in 11.1892 and lasted until a fire consumed it sometime 1928. The site sat inactive until 11/1991. At this time members of the Connecticut Eastern Chapter would meet each weekend clearing and cleaning up the numerous debris. In the fall of 1999 the construction began. It should be completed late summer 2000. I send you a photo from home.<p><br>
