NC & St.L #576 getting shelter *PIC*

As seen in the Flimsies, it looks like the 576 in Centennial Park in Nashville is getting a roof.

The NC & St.L Preservation Society has been trying for several years to alert city govt. as to the condition of this engine. I know their longterm objective was restoration to operation, but did they have anything to do with this? Were they the "squeaky wheels"?

Maybe this can be held up as an example in places like Waterville, Maine.

I played on that locomotive as a child. First main line steamer that I ever saw. Good to hear that it is going to get some additional protection.
