Here's what Steve Sandberg posted to shop news of the 261.com website today:

"The Canadian Pacific Railway has agreed to bring 4-6-4 # 2816 to Minneapolis for the Grand Excursion.
This week the CPR made the commitment to bring its steam locomotive # 2816 to Minneapolis in late June and early July for a series of company excursions. The locomotive will operate several company excursions and be on public display. Many of the excursions will not be open to the public and will be for corporate promotion. BUT ! The CPR has agreed to operate a double headed excursion on July 3rd from St. Paul to La Crescent and return with the 261. The train is scheduled to depart early Saturday morning and return to St. Paul as the river boats are arriving for the Grand Excursion. This will be a spectacular site as the 2816 and the 261 arrive side by side with the Delta and Mississippi Queens at Lamberts Landing in St. Paul. Tickets are currently available to the members of "The Friends of the 261" and should go on-sale to the public in the next few weeks."

Check the Grand Excursion website. There will be more than two steamboats there that day. I hope some video producer covers the doubleheader and the arrival at St. Paul. All of those whistles combining for one big celebration should be an awesome sound.
