My wife (who is from New Hampshire--guess who we were rooting for, and who won) and I watched the Highly Hyped Bowl this afternoon; not only were there no Blimp shots, there were very few outside-the-stadium views. Being a major juicefan, I was hoping for a look at the new Houston Metro Light Rail line, but no luck on that front. For our friends down South--Carolina didn't quit, maybe next year for the Cats! |

The new light rail system has been the focus of headlines in the Houston area, since motorists haven't yet figured it out. They think the track is a new left-turn lane. In it's very short operating history, there have been almost a dozen collisions between the new trains and motor vehicles, some of which were just fender-benders, and some very serious. The silly, tinny, screechy electronic "horn" on the trains is almost useless, especially in a place where every other car is a stereo system on wheels. |
