Eugene Ernst company has fusible plugs. They also handle sight glass supplies, water reading devices etc.

They have just about anything you need.
You didn't mention size. What are these for?
What pressure will they be under?
If it is an odd size or you need oversize threads
you can make your own. They are easy to make.

In my opinion, making your own fusible plug isn't a good idea. You can not make an ASME fusible plug. They can only be made by an ASME shop. If you have an odd size opening, make a bushing to take a standard NPT thread or properly repair the sheet to take a standard NPT thread.

There is an excellent article in the September 2003 edition of Steam Traction about fusible plugs. I would recommend this as must read for anyone who is operating a steam boiler with plugs in it. I am not sure if you can buy single copy issues but there web address is www.steamtraction.com. Bruce Babcock who is on the Ohio Historical Boilers Licensing Board wrote the article. He goes into great detail about fusible plugs and after you read this article you will understand the need to change them on a regular basis. They are cheap to replace when you consider the cost if one fails to do its job and there is a failure.

Mr. David; In our present litigious society, you are right. It is probally not smart to make soft
plugs. However, the fact remains they are easy to make and I know the ones I have made function properly because one operator blew two of them within about an hour.
He hadn't cleaned his gauge cocks in months and
the top cock was plugged with scale thus causing
a false water level reading**. He called me and complained about "Something was wrong with the
soft plugs, they wouldn't hold." This was after
the plug had worked fine since the start of the
season.
When we found the plugged gauge cock I told him
the soft plugs were doing exactly what they were supposed to do and that he was d****d lucky they
had.
Making your own plugs allows you to fit a hole that is a few/1000ths oversize due to over energetic thread chasing. Something that bushing the hole won't accomplish. And while the fact of the soft plug is that the melting point of the Tin mixture determines when the plug lets go,and there is nothing the maker does when he fills the plug that affects that melting point, and that
having an ASTME stamp doesn't change the melting point of the fusible mixture, these facts would probally be a poor defense in our present courts.
