No, that's not a misprint, I meant to say 2005. Here's the deal: NCTM has begun a fruitful relationship with a tour operator in the Carolinas. Last year we did an entire carload of folks on the New River Train. This year we're taking folks to TVRM, SERM (yes, working out the details Randy), New River Train and the Smithsonian. Details at www.nctrans.org under special events. These have been so successful that we're already looking for new destinations for 2005, and if any of you have a railroad-related special event that would be within reach of the east coast, drop me an email. I wish now we'd known earlier about Trainfest in Ohio because it conflicts with our Atlanta trip, sorry Jason. And here's an idea: If you've got a group and want to run a bus trip to NCTM, say for Rail Days or Thomas, holler at us and we'll work with you. Jim http://nctrans.org Wrinnbo@aol.com |

I don't speak for them and I don't have any details but I believe there will be an event at STEA next year for the 10th anniversary of the Grand Opening. Joshua |

I have also heard about this. Someone said that the NPS wants to get the B&M pacific running as well as the K4. -justin > I don't speak for them and I don't have any > details but I believe there will be an event > at STEA next year for the 10th anniversary > of the Grand Opening. > Joshua qcmrs18@yahoo.com |

Flyers have already been printed to announce "something." I don't want to spread rumors, but suffice to say I have heard the plans for next summer in Scranton are underway and look very promising for -- not a weekend or two -- but a hot steamy summer. Wish them the best, as the desire for a big steam-up is there. Rob |

There plans for any visiting locomotives? How about one of the Maine Two Footers? Put some track down in the Yard. Good sample of narrow guage steam. No No, Put the track next to the Big Boy ;-) -justin > Yes, there will be a 10th anniversary event. > Flyers have already been printed to announce > "something." > I don't want to spread rumors, but suffice > to say I have heard the plans for next > summer in Scranton are underway and look > very promising for -- not a weekend or two > -- but a hot steamy summer. > Wish them the best, as the desire for a big > steam-up is there. > Rob qcmrs18@yahoo.com |
