Members, Below is a request for information regarding the “Escalante Hotel” Harvey House, Ash Fork AZ. This question appeared on the Southwest RR “fallen flags” thread I view on www.railroadforum.com. I have answered the post with what information I could come up with, limited to two Arizona library websites and my knowledge of the Santa Fe operating that trackage. If anyone here has historic knowledge of this, your offerings would be appreciated by Marilyn, (and it would increase my knowledge of the area too). Thanks, Don N2QHV “Anyone have any idea where I might find information about the Escalante Harvey House? Harvey House website has nothing. I'd also like to know the railroad company that ran from L.A. to Albuquerque in the 1940's. My husband was en route to Boulder, CO 1943 to Naval Communications School. We found a postcard he bought at the Escalante and mailed it from Albuquerque. We think he had to have changed trains to get to Boulder. We're retired & live near Prescott & have pictures of the historical monument that has been erected in Ash Fork regarding the train station. Thanks in advance for any assistance & although I "stumbled" onto your website, I have found it interesting & will visit again.
