The local historical museum is working on a project to scan old photos in local collections. This photo is one of the shots that has come to light. Since the rest of the pictures were all local, I'm going to assume that this one is to, which would put the wreck in the vicinity of Winnsboro, SC on the Southern's Ridge line. There's no info with the picture itself.
Does anybody have any info on this particular wreck? The Director of the County Museum thinks it's from the teens. Judging from the construction of the two locomotives I'd say that sounds reasonable. I'm guessing this was a pair of drag freights or locals that got faced up somehow. Neither engine looks like a passenger engine.
