The estate sale of the railroad collection of the late Dennis
Hertrich will be held at his parents' house on Saturday, March 20th
from 9:00 to 2:00, and on Sunday, March 21st from 10:00 to 1:00. It
is open to all.

214 N. West Road. Lombard, Il Â…near the old CGW ROW, east
of the old Rt. 53.
The collection includes a very large variety of paper and
hardware. Also, his huge collection of high-quality slides will be
available. (except for the C&NW-related slides, which will be
donated to the C&NWHS) In addition, Dennis had a large collection
of HO models, including brass. His book collection includes a number
of multiple copies of out-of-print books, some never opened.
Some of the hardware is very large, so a pickup truck may be
necessary. Bring plenty of money also, but the items will be priced
to sell so that attendees should do very well.
I have not personally seen his collection, but if you have an
urgent question, you may contact Mark Llanuza: 630-483-7048 He is
very busy, so he does not want to deal over the phone. Under no
circumstances should you contact the parents of Dennis, but they
will be available during the sale to deal on material.
