Very nice Bob. One day, TVRM hopes to have our train sitting next to that one. Then we will be Chattanooga's Choo Choo. G. Mark Updates constantly at our website! aw90@comcast.net |

Mark Has anyone at TVRM ever suggested to the Choo Choo people that the steam locomotive should look a little more classy and not like a piece of playground equipment?I personally would like to see it removed and restored to it's Smoky Mountain livery. How about this suggestion;TVRM could bring a locomotive to display and change it out ever now and then.In front of the locomotive a placard could tell history of the loco and info about TVRM and directions to it.Of course my idea would have the loco on a rail accesible track, maybe the owners would buy into this if they were told they would not have to pay for the upkeep of a display loco anymore. If not maybe the Choo Choo's loco could be painted Southern green. wink638@aol.com |

Its been a year and half since I paid a visit to TN but I believe that the passenger cars behind this engine have had utilities installed, perhaps making it rather difficult to move this engine out of the siding. Joshua |

Yes, the "#29" is stuck at the end of a long string of passenger equipment which serves as hotel rooms and restuarants/lounges. All cars have utilities, plumbing, HIVAC equipment, etc. underfoot. Not to mention the rails are no longer connected to the "trolley loop" track. Also, the re-guaged New Orleans Streetcar loads on the track adjacent to the ornate steam locomotive. In addition to all of this, the trolley line has a heck of a curve at the back of the property. As the layout is now, that eliminates the possibility of moving anything that cannot take a sharp radius curve. awalker1829@yahoo.com |
