Here is NYS&W 142, Steamtown 1995. There are two more at the same address, except substitute "adq" or "ads" where "adr" appears.

Knowing there are probably a few model railroaders on this list, here is a link to the Chinese HO models they make, including an SY class. The SY is also available in Susquehanna 142 form.

Nice models!! That SY looks just like VRR 1647, full red trim and all, when I first saw it in the beautiful Bronx (CR's Oak Point Yard).

Are there modellers in China?

I picked up one of Bachmann's HO scale SY's in NYS&W 142 form at a train show last weekend. Very impressive model with a high level of detail and a great runner. See below link for a photo of the NYS&W 142 model from Bachmann's website.

...got me thinking of all the tourist line / museum / excursion steam locomotives that have been offered in model form (actual models of the prototype and not re-lettering a similar engine). Let's see... NYS&W 142, Cass Shay 5, Western Maryland Shay 6, SP 4449, UP 844, UP 3985, Strasburg 90 (and IIRC PRR 1223), Sierra 3 (and IIRC 28). PRR John Bull (real one and replica), B&O Laffayette (replica). I'm sure there are many others, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Any others?? (and again not just "re-letter jobs").

Regards,
Jim Robinson

I have seen a photo of CPR 1200-series 4-6-2s in brass somewhere, but can't find it now. I think a few were made.
