Good news regarding 2719's future relocation to Montana.

How would you distinguish between routine and capital maintenance and the responsibility for such?
Would you prefer a flat lease rate for the term, a monthly fee based upon the number of operating hours, miles or perhaps another financial arrangement?

What other contractual elements should be considered in a long term lease agreement?

Remember that steam locomotives now operate on a 1472 day service clock. Once those days or 15 years are used then it is back to the shop for a complete tear down. How many days is the lease for, how much is it going to cost once the locomotive has used its time to start the clock again? Can't get a locomotive back with zero time left on the clock and no funds to start the clock again.
