Does anyone know the length and type of the turntable offered at Atlanta by NS? Also the one at the doomed roundhouse at Altoona, Wisconsin? ryarger@rypn.org |

This table isn't all that big, but was big enough to turn both Soo Line 1003 and 2719, both of which have overall wheelbases of just over 71'. A 75' table would be my guess. Does Joe Folmar's book on C&NW engine facilities happen to give the actual length? Dennis Storzek dstorzek@elnet.com |

He states it is a 90' table. Dennis (correcting himself again) Storzek dstorzek@elnet.com |
