Does anyone know what railway this Excursion Train is from? I've never seen or heard of it before, and assume it must be from below the '49.

Well, the train you have in the picture is the former Waterloo St. Jacobs excursion train, which operated for a few seasons out of Waterloo Ontario, to St. Jacobs. The train was privatly owned, and prior to operating the WSJR, it operated as the TTSL out in Quebec. When it came to ontario, it was marketed as the 50's streamliner. The excursion ceased a few years ago, and the train was put up for sale....There were 2 ex-CNR funits, and about 10-12 coaches....Somewhere in my files i have some great night shots we did while on a motorcar trip in nearby Guelph.

This train set is currently stored at VIA Rail's maintenance center in Toronto, Canada.

Mr Wrinn pointed out to me last night that the train set is for sale on the Ozark Mountain Railcar site. The history of each car and locomotive is included with the sale information. For a low, low $600,000 you can take this baby home today! What is of particular interest to me is the former Milwaukee Road 10-6 sleeper that was built for the Olympian Hiawatha. I suspect that these cars went north of the border along with the eight bedroom Skytops (?)
