WW&F #10's heavy repairs are rapidly proceeding toward completion. The wheels are under the frame and the boiler was put on the frame two weeks ago. Now the cab conconstruction crew can finally go to work. Meanwhile we still have the main drive rods to machine and a bunch of little stuff to do, but test steaming will hopefully begin late next month. WW&F Railway Museum |

Bob, With your strong interest in railroad buildings, you should know that the building is the only original WW&F structure at the museum. It was a section house and later for a short time a station building. It ended up as a garden shed in Wiscasset, from where it was trucked to Alna and restored by the mus3eum volunteers. ted_miles@nps.gov |
