Post subject: handcars - borrow or build

Does anyone know where to acquire old handcars? Anyone have one to borrow for a weekend? Any plans to construct handcars available?
Thanks.

Do you want one for racing or just a liesurely ride? If you want it for racing I highly suggest you build it from scratch, and designed for racing. An old hand car just will not hold up to the beating. I know that from experience.
There are annual handcar races in Palmerston, Ontario, and they had their cars especially designed for just that. Sorry, but I have no idea who is running the show up there now, so I don't have a contact number.
