Post subject:  Atlanta locos?
Gonna be in Atlanta, Ga. soon. Other than the Cyclorama Building, are there any steam locos in town, or just outside?

By all means. A large collection at Southeastern Ry Museum in Duluth, a suburb just northeast of the belt. Marietta, just northwest of the belt has Glover 2-6-0 on display near the depot. Just a few miles beyond there is Kennesaw, home of General and the Glover Museum.

Have a pleasant visit, I recommend Mrs Winners biscuits for breakfast, you can find good BBQ everywhere, and sweet tea.

And just two hours up I-75 is TVRM in Chattanooga. Steam locomotive #610 operates on weekends in Missionary Ridge Local service until June and then daily during the summer season (except boiler wash weeks.) Come see us at TVRM....home of the $20 cab ride!

Other steamers on display/in storage/under restoration at TVRM? K&T #10, SR #630, SR #4501, USA #611, CG #349. Also the Chattanooga Choo Choo Complex's dolled up 2-6-0.

ps: Chattanooga will eventually become a suburb of Atlanta as the sprawl creeps north!

And dont forget the static displays at Stone Mountain either. They arent running theit steam loco now but it is still there.
