Looks like the eastern segment of the onetime St. Joseph & Grand Island (Union Pacific) line is to be abandoned east of Hiawatha, Kansas. This route was shortlined to Railtex for a time, then bought back for much more by UP for use by coal trains on the part west of Hiawatha.
