Post subject:  [General Preservation] Bad News from Solvay Coke *PIC*

All,

Larry Tucker has seen me the following sad news:

Latest news is that due to high scrap iron prices, good prices on brick, limited interest and the developer needing to sell the property, the gas compressor house will most likely be demolished during late April or early May. If I cannot find clubs to take the best vertical Buckeye steam engine then I hope to be able to buy it and for the mean time will store it.. Everything else will probably be scraped. Finding a organization with funds or even high interest has not panned out yet.

I, and hopefully others, can spread the word that engines at scrap prices are available but time is very short.
