Seen a lot today, but this is among the finest. Well done. Bravo. When you wonder "Who would POSSIBLY work this hard on this - click the response e-mail, and you are sent to an English advertising and PR firm. No actual tax dollars were harmed...... Late last year, in October or November as I recall, there was a program on the Discovery channel about a transatlantic railroad tunnel, in the series called, “Extreme Engineering.” It was no April fool that such a project is under serious design at this time, but construction on that one has yet to be started, and it would be a floating tunnel anchored to the seabed with cables rather than excavated under the sea floor. Also, it would terminate in France, I believe, not the UK. Didn’t sound like the same one as in this web site. |

I think this is the source (from the Library of Congress Catalog) about a tunnel under the Atlantic Ocean. Dan Green (of N.J.) found a German edition (probably the original language), noticed that the West portal was to be in his neighborhood in Tom's River, N.J., and was inspired to search for an English translation.
