I only have the ownership history through 1980, but a note attached to the locomotive (click the Notes button) explains how it got to Palmer. I sure hope her new owners don't keep that awful fake stack on her, but presubably they would have had to remove it when they moved the engine, and put it back when they got to Palmer. What were they thinking??? What about the rest of the equipment in Hubbardston? If you go there, do not under any circumstances miss the former B&A/ Central Vermont station designed by H.H. Richardson. Amtrak has runs on both lines.
