Anyone know how the project is coming along. The site hasn't been updated in a while and i was just wondering if anyone had any new info on whats going on.

The silence IS deafening, isn't it?

The last report I had from a volunteer was several weeks ago, and that was the first time he had been there in months. Suffice it to say that there just isn't a great deal of activity visible at the moment.

That's funny - I have 4 people working on the project full-time and then some. The infamous patch on the steam dome was just done, stress-relieved, mag particled, etc and it ALL PASSED. An entire new mud ring was installed, new wrapper sheet and firebox over 4 ft up both sides was done. Preparations for the backhead to be reinstalled are underway.

Anyone who hasn't noticed work being done is, frankly, blind. I will be there on April 14th for anyone who would like to talk to me first hand about the project. Silence? - HARDLY!

I believe Tom just was wondering what the status is of the restoration? How soon does the restoration crew see the engine back in operation?
