Anyone interested in the preservation of Bethlehem Steel's plant in Bethlehem, PA will probably want to take a look at the information on the web site of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for the Humanities (M.A.R.C.H). Their web site contains the text of a speech given recently that details the history of the Bethlehem Works project, of which the National Museum of Industrial History is a component. On the workspace page is information about upcoming events, most notably a public presentation on April 13 at 7 PM in the Sinclair Auditorium at Lehigh University.

On a related note, I was able to discuss the site's future today with the Mayor of Bethlehem. He knows that all of the blast furnaces need to be saved and is doing what he can to preserve them and the buildings on the site. I have a lot of confidence in him and his current and future efforts to do what is best for the site.
