Well, the value of this as a locomotive is probably nill or negative. But its historical value??

Maybe it is good if this moves or sells at that price since it may give some credence to the romantic value preservationists place on cars and exhibits that are being saved.

Glad to hear this famous locomotive will stay in Britain but why was an American portrayed as the boogeyman (or perhaps the "bogie" man) who might take it out of the country? Was there some particular American interested in buying it?
It sure worked as a scare tactic to keep it at home.
