Seeing the DL-109 in postings below reminded me about the last NH DL-109 and the last NH PA-1. There's a contrast for you; what might arguably be the ugliest Diesel loco and the other possibly the most elegant!
The last NH PA-1 was sold the the D&H to support the four Santa Fe locos, when they were acquired. Unfortunately, the old NH loco was torched after it was parted out. Anyone have a picture of her while she was in D&H hands, or as she sat about on the New Haven?
