Folks, There is a lot of information flowing around this Interchange. When you are talking about your favorite steam locomotive, please use its railroad name as well as its number. We all know who the 4449 or the 3985 is but there are a lot of other engines out there. Let's just say Pennsylvania XXX or Southern Pacific XXX! Thanks, Ted Miles ted_miles@nps.gov |

Good point Tom. I've seen locomotives mentioned here that I didn't have a clue about. Don't forget, this list also gets international visitors who may have never heard of 4449, 611, or 844, not to mention the more obscure locomotives.
