Post subject:  Fostoria & Fremont #40 *PIC*
A very interesting photo (below) was recently posted on George Elwood's website of Fostoria & Fremont interurban car #40, taken at Trolleyville in 1970. At that time the carbody was in relatively good condition; since then it has left Trolleyville and has deteriorated significantly. What interests me about the photo is the car's Peckham shop trucks. I think the car just sits on cribbing now. Does anyone know what happened to these trucks? Are these now under the "Toledo" or are they elsewhere?

Is this not one of the car bodies rotting away now at Buckeye Lake?

O.K., next stupid question ---

How in god's green earth could that car be allowed to rot like that? I thought the guy in Buckeye Lake was into preservation, not a glorified junk yard......
