United Power Mfg. Co. 0-4-0F No. 711

I regret to report that United Power Mfg. Co. No. 711, a Heisler-built 0-4-0F was scrapped at Moline, IL in January 2004.

The owners had kept the locomotive on their property since 1957, and recently evaluated the cost of doing a cosmetic/display restoration of the locomotive. The cost was found to be prohibitive and the locomotive subsequently was scrapped.

Now be sure not to offer it to anyone, might need parts for another, be sure and scrape it!
