| Post subject: | United Power Mfg. Co. 0-4-0F No. 711 |
I regret to report that United Power Mfg. Co. No. 711, a Heisler-built 0-4-0F was scrapped at Moline, IL in January 2004. The owners had kept the locomotive on their property since 1957, and recently evaluated the cost of doing a cosmetic/display restoration of the locomotive. The cost was found to be prohibitive and the locomotive subsequently was scrapped. United Power Mfg. Co. #711 dougb@sunserver.com |
