Billerica & Bedford track building begins

Hi Folks,

For those of you who don't know, the Billerica & Bedford RR in Massachusetts was the first two-foot gauge common carrier in the U.S.

The group Friends of Bedford Depot Park has begun relaying two foot track on a portion of the original right-of-way just outside the original line's Bedford, Mass terminus. Photos of the new construction can be found at the groups website by using the attached URL.

I don't know for certain, but that would be my guess. I do know that they puchased the rail from Kovalchick Salvage (Mr. Kovalchick delivered it personally). I understand they salvage a good portion of their rail from old mine operations.
