| Post subject: | Special Excursions on ex-RDG Bethlehem Branch |
On Saturday, May 15 the boroughs of Quakertown and Perkasie plan to run several special passenger excursions on the former RDG Bethlehem branch, using East Penn diesel power and some leased ex-LIRR commuter cars from the New Hope & Ivyland. For more details or to obtain tickets, see the link below. This will be the first public excursions on this stretch of the branch since 1987 when BM&R 4-6-2 No. 425 paid a visit to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the borough of Souderton. |
