Greetings.......... A railroad I occasionally consult with has been inspired to convert one of their cabooses into a de-facto "business car" for professional and P.R. reasons. To that end, we are looking to replace the current furniture and fixtures in the caboose with more "suitable" seating. The best we've found so far are former parlor car seats with pedestal bases that were left over, newly-refurbished, from a conversion on Amtrak years ago, but none of the many owners seem willing to part with them even with mucho doleros being waved at them, and I'm not about to start a death watch. Do any of our readers have surplus parlor car seating available for trade or sale? We'd be looking for perhaps a half-dozen total. Thanks for the reply (and I see some other parts that may come in handy); however, the RR in question would prefer to benefit or help out a RR preservation project if possible by buying surplus.
