I had to be in Vegas for a convention this week. I was surprised to drive by the Nevada State Railroad Museum/Boulder City. I thought I knew *every* museum. I was there late, but same a beautiful UP GP-30 and a slew of rolling stock. Their website is without a roster. Anyone have one? Also, is the line isolated?

I took a slug of pictures out there last year and years prior to that. They have an operable SW-1 and H-12-44. The FM showers them with oil when it's started, but she's gonna run. The GP-30 is ex-UP 844, the unit that temporarily usurped the excursion steamer's number. Did you get out into the storage area? They have about 20 steam locos, none of which are operable, including an ex-UP 2-8-0. The Casinos should invest in getting some steam running out there! It's a fine operation and very friendly shop people, always happy to share information with the public.
Did you get to the nearby casino with a Shay being used as a billboard and a mining lokie out front?
