Last night I watched and thoroughly enjoyed Train of Life (Train deVie). This 1999 French film with English subtitlesis set in Eastern Europe during World War II. The plot conists of a Jewish village that acquires a train to flee on-coming Nazis. Basically, it's Hogan's Heroes, Von Ryan's Express, and Fiddler on the Roof all rolled into one. There's superb photography, great acting, wonderful music, and of course nifty steam locomotive action. Those in charge of museum operations can appreciate one scene in which the engineer drives the locomotive while reading the operating manual at the same time! Four stars. Go rent it today.
