Post subject: Free to Good Home-South Bend Metal Working Lathe
PostPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2004 1:35 pm

To any who may be interested.

I have a South Bend metal working lathe, complete with stand, accessories and an extended stock table. Lathe itself is approximately 4 feet long. Lathe is belt driven, via electric motor.
Good condition, stored serviceable, but not used for a couple of years, turns freely.

I would like to donate this to someone in the railway preservation field, preferably a museum that can use it.

Lathe is free to the first person who expresses an interest, the only catch is you have to pick it up. Located in the NW Chicago suburban area (NW Schaumburg to be specific) Lathe and attachments can be transported easily in either a full sized van or pick-up, can also ride in a mini-van, but would take a bit of effort.

Pictures are available.
Anyone interested, please contact me offline @

Thanks
JC

Thanks to those you replied.

The lathe has been spoken for, and will find a new home at a museum in Wisconsin.

Thanks again to all for your interest.
