Green Bay minature RR

Never been to Green Bay. Do they still have this minature RR on the property?

Was there last fall and I don't recall there being any narrow or small guage rail there. I know they had a couple of small steamers though. Got to see Steve Butlers Heisler running and that was cool. They have a great visitors center with the Big Boy and other artifacts inside. A real big improvement and very well done too. I would recommend stopping in if anybody is in the area. Not on the same level as some of the larger type operating museums, but they have done a lot in recent years and have some great equipment to look at. Much of which is under a roof now. This train ran in the mid to late sixties on about quarter mile loop of track on the museum grounds. The track had been installed earlier for the use of another 12" gauge steam locomotive a model of the Soo Line 2700 class Pacifics, but that engine steamed very poorly and was never, to my knowledge used in regular service. It was only fired up a few times for special service. When this Model of a NYC J-3 Hudson (though with a Vanderbilt tender)was donated, it was used in daily service for several years until overhaul work was deemed too expensive. The tracks were torn out sometime in the seventies or eighties and the two locomotives sat outside the museum buildings as static displays that children could sit on for photo opportunities. When the latest addition to the main exposition building was added the Hudson locomotive and the tender of the Pacific plus one coach and I believe the caboose were set up in the Gift shop, with the cars being used to display merchandise. The locomotive pilot somehow got lost along the way and a new one was fabricated, but not with the compound curves in it, so it gives the locomotive sort of a buck toothed look. I don't if the rest of the equipment is in storage or has been disposed of.
When it was operating in the sixties, It could run like the wind and we had one engineer who wasn't afraid to put the throttle to the roof on the straight stretches of track.
