<P> A post on Steam Centrals News column lists an upcomming photo shoot with N&W 1218 and O. Winston Link here in Roanoke.This is the first I've heard of this.Can anyone shed some light on this recent promise of 1218 in the sunshine?<p>Brian Hebert<br><br>

<P>This is a good marketing strategy for Vanity Fair... While most likely unintended to draw interest among railfans, by bringing the 1218 out for the first time in over 4 years is something no one else has been able to do and because they probably paid NS a "handsome sum" for this photo shoot, so NS considers them a customer, as rediculous as it may seem. I will buy the issue only for the 1218 photos and the Link article, which I doubt to lack substance, but for good current photos of the A, I'll sacrifice 4 or 5 bucks, cause other than that I don't care about that whatever you want to cal it that they call a magazine....<br>
