I think the rumor below about cutting down the trees in Strasburg got started when it was thought that they were going to put in a street to make it look more like 1915.

Linn, do they still plan on doing just that? They can use the trees as part of an island like some older streets have with the street running on both sides of the island. I think a brick street with concrete sidewalks in front of the gift shops would go a long way to ridding the mall of that tourist look. Are there any other such improvements in the works?

Anyway glad to hear the trees will stay.

We do have plans to improve the appearance of the mall and have it look more like a 1915 street scene. There is no specific timetable for this and it will be done as we can afford it. The current tourism slump has certainly slowed the process.
