Hello All,

We at the Railroaders Memorial Museum are about to begin laying track in the yard in connection with the continued construction of our quarter-roundhouse building. As we have identified rolling stock to be placed on display, we have come to the conclusion that one piece in our collection warrants disposal. The Board has deaccessioned the Fruit Growers Express Reefer #57826. This wooden-bodied reefer will need to find a new home. Anyone interested in seeing this car either in person or pictures should contact me as soon as possible. I will try to get photos on the Museum website soon as well. This car will be given FREE to a good home with the new owner responsible for all costs connected with moving her. I should have a crane in the yard in early/mid June to perform some other work if the removal can be coordinated with that work, the cost should be minimal to have it lifted and moved. The car is not in very good shape and frankly the craning may further cripple it. I and the Board would rather see the car go to an organization with some interest in her otherwise, she may be scrapped on site. Please let me know if you have any interest.
