In one of the discussions below it was said that the wheels on 2317 were cracked like the ones that were repaired on 3254 and that the 17 couldn't run on the main line only in the yard so what are they going to use to pull the train to carbondale next weekend? Is the 54 back together?

Found out today the train next week will be pulled by diesel.

From what I understand they are doing the best they can to get the '54 out in a month or so. The '17 has really thin flanges on the rear axle and is restricted to short trips.
