Canadian Pacifics web site still shows #2816 is schedualed to arrive in Montreal on May 29th. She is apparently making her way across Canada this week. Does anyone know how the trip is going so far? And is anyone planning on going up see the train?

I was up at Tottenham today, and 1057 (4-6-0 d-10-h class) was slowly building up steam. Word is that there will be a meeting of the two engines arranged by South Simcoe and CP rail possibly Wednesday. (Shades of last year?) see pic for what happened last year.Photo credit to Charles Bryant.

If we're lucky, we'll probably see the top of the smokestack as we pass by the museum on our train. As we're usually taking a clearance or giving a track release for the Lacolle sub in that area, we might not even get to see that. Such is life on the railroad.

I just now checked both Google News and the CPRR website, and see no mention of the 2816. I do very much hope that all is well with that beautiful locomotive, and that no other breakdowns happen. If I had the money, I would most certainly have bought a ticket and would be on that wonderful trip.
