Good website with just about anything you'd want to know about the interurban electric Sacramento Northern.

Although I never saw the SN under electric power, having lived in Pacific Electric country all my life, I've done some "archaeology" during visits to the north. After reading about the Meridian depot in the SN website, I went to find it with my daughter, who is a big fan of "Craftsman" design of the early 1900's. Part of the branch is still in service, but the Meridian segment is long abandoned. The old depot is indeed a treasure, and numerous RR artifacts, including an SN crossbuck and some M/W motorcars adorn the back yard. PE fans should note that it's similar to the Glendale PE station (long gone). The owners seemed to be away, so we didn't have a chance to ask questions.
The keeper of the SN website has done a great service to Calif. traction (and architecture) fans.
